Firstly, congrats on getting the story out before the ODT (pwned!) and on doing so with journalistic integrity. You came off unbiased – good article. I must say that I’m pretty susprised to see Campus Watch playing the roll of “squelcher o’ free speech” ... especially acts of political protest speech. As a 4th year international student at the largest and arguably best university in the southern hemisphere, I’m disappointed to see a university, an institution people usually associate with terms like “free thinking, science, reason, etc.” stroll down the path of ignorance and regurgitation of propoganda based American policy. In a day and age where one man in charge can go mad with power and conduct all sorts of secret and illegal wire tapping, I would hope to see a responsible proctor exercise some discretion and not persecute otherwise NORM(a)L students. Prohibition does not work.
