- Marijuana: Plentiful. Fridays have traditionally been the largest days for the 4:20 event, a trend which is likely to continue for as long as it runs. Yesterday was no exception! There were upwards of 80 people gathered on the Union Lawn to protest the prohibition of cannabis, and as always, there wasn't a single arrest. But yesterday's 4:20 was a special one, given that the NORML Cannabus departed from Auckland on a tour of 42 New Zealand cities; which concludes on Anzac Day (April the 25th), in Dunedin. At around 5PM, a small male cannabis plant appeared on the Union Lawn... We don't know how it got there, and we don't know why it appeared. Update: I checked just now, (12:16PM, Saturday the 15th of March), and the plant has disappeared. The great Jah giveth and the great Jah taketh.
