...The final piece of general business proved to be the most interesting of the lot. After proving his commitment to his cause by suffering through an entire exec meeting, cannabis crusader extraordinaire Abe Gray got to ask the exec to throw official OUSA support behind NORML’s anti-Campus Watch protest (see p4). The exec were surprisingly quick to get behind the project by committing financial support and people power, with Margi calling the Campus Watch “embarrassing middle-aged people in matching jackets. Speaking as an embarrassing middle-aged person myself.” Simon offered to make an official approach to the University and police over the role of the Campus Cop, and the meeting broke up with various execcies
disappearing into the night to make posters, cut up flyers and chalk the pavements of campus.
