A PRO-POT parliamentary candidate has a suggestion for stamping out Otago University’s weed-smoking group – cannabis cafes. Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party’s (ALCP) Dunedin North candidate, Julian Crawford, launched his campaign on Wednesday at one of the bi-weekly cannabis smoke-ins held on campus in protest against prohibition. “If there were cannabis cafes, there wouldn’t be people out in public smoking weed,” says Crawford, 24.
